Job Description:
Responsible for the management of the organization's accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and 401K administration. Manages and participates in internal auditing functions. Performs other accounting functions as required for a multi-state organization.
Job Responsibilities
Manages and develops Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll staff.
Ensures related liability accounts are reconciled monthly.
Responsible for internal auditing and root cause analysis of processes and transactions. Works with members of other departments to promote understanding of process issues and impact on success and efficiency of business.
Reviews and approves Payroll on a weekly basis.
Acts as Workday Payroll Administrator responsible for participating in the governance team and overall maintenance of the payroll system and related integrations.
Responsible for auditing employee benefit elections on a quarterly basis.
Manages the 401K system including weekly/monthly auditing of participant data, preparation of audit reports, compliance testing, and interfacing with auditors on an annual basis.
Monitor cash flow on a daily/weekly basis. Complete inter-company cash transfers and wire transfers (international and domestic).
Responsible for governmental and compliance reporting as needed.
Support year end audit requests.
Leads and/or participates in interdisciplinary teams.
Independently or as part of a team identifies and implements business process improvements.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading accounting/finance functions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and team skills.
Proficient in O365 suite of products including Excel, Word, Teams and SharePoint.
Experience with CSI/Syteline ERP or other ERP systems highly desirable.
Experience with Workday highly desirable.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
