Manage and maintain critical master and reference data such as customers, products, loans, deposits reference data etc. in adherence to data governance policy which are critical to management, external regulators, Webster board, lines of business portfolio managers and credit risk. Improve quality of master and reference data set aligned to risk appetite and business growth strategy.
Responsibilities
Enable Master Data Management "MDM" platform strategy in partnership with Master Data Management and Data Sourcing leader from data perspective
Ensure master and reference data is managed in adherence to Data Governance policy
Ensure data is catered to needs of the consumer and aligned to strategic choices
Implement and support data specific to master data domain like customer, products, loan reference data, housing holding, customer hierarchy etc. to meet the critical needs for LOBs, Corporate functions, Enterprise analytics and data science and credit risk reporting.
Partner with enterprise architecture to source master/reference data for data enrichment purpose and meet the critical needs of business function as the authoritative data source.
Ensure technology aspect of MDM platform is aligned and meets the needs of consumers in partnership with enterprise architecture team
Support Data Governance activities aligned to Data Governance policy, define Data Quality rules requirements in partnership with business and Data Quality rules implementation for Master/Reference Data with support from Data Quality leader
Partner with business function to ensure that master and reference data is fit for use including its data quality
Experience/Skills
Min. Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
Min. 10yrs experience in IT or Data Management or Data Governance
Prior experience in master or reference data management, preferably in financial industry
Understanding of master data management industry standards and practices
Data warehouse knowledge/experience
Experience presenting to business functions outcome of critical metrics related to Data Governance maturity and related statistics on a regular basis
Strong analytic skill set with a high degree of proficiency in data profiling and modeling
Highly proficient in data analysis u sing SQL querying skills
Expertise in program management and stakeholder management
Critical thinking
Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Project Management Professional is a plus but not required
Data Management Certification is a plus but not required
The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000.00 to $150,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
