Learns from and supports senior project engineer, project manager, and superintendent on all aspects of project management and field operations. Learns and supports project set-up and planning, project controls, procurement, schedule, project administration, close-out, and other project responsibilities. Learns and supports project team with quality control, safety, and project meetings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety
Understands and assists with the site-specific safety plan with assistance from the project team and safety department.
Understands and assists with site safety walks, documentation, and corrective actions (safety self-assessments).
Leads by example and ensures safety is the highest priority on the project.
Understands the ORM process and daily documentation.
Assists with ensuring all trade partner site safety requirements are received and in place prior to starting work.
Understands the Hazardous Building Material Survey(s) process.
Understands and assists with potential High-Risk Activities and with the preliminary planning.
Project Management and Controls
Assists with ensuring all documentation and filing for the project are set up, maintained, organized, and up to date.
Understands General Conditions and General Requirements.
Assists with ensuring drawings, specifications, and site-specific plans, etc. are up to date, filed and implemented.
Assists with ensuring regular photo documentation is being conducted.
Provides assistance to ensure any change or field as-built are documented.
Assists with Projection and Deep Dives by developing packets, planning and participating in meetings with project team and following up on action items.
Understands and leads the overall submittal process (procurement letters, submittal register, itemized date requirements, submittal review and compliance, documentation, and continuous / weekly follow-up).
Understands, assists, and prepares internal and external project meeting agendas, distributes meeting minutes and attachments and presents at internal and external meetings.
Awareness and exposure of project budget development and modifications.
Assists self-perform with schedule, unit tracking, and procurement coordination.
Understands and uses Building Performance Solutions services relevant to project.
Assists trade partners, vendors, and site staff with schedule coordination weekly.
Organizes and executes punch list process and assists with close out.
Relationships
Builds and maintains superior relationships with clients, design team, trade partners, and associates.
Participates in community and professional associations.
Represents the company in a professional manner at all times.
Escalates issues/conflicts to project leadership.
Contributes to a high performing team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Proficiency in computer applications, preferably Microsoft Office.
Exposure to / ability to use Procore.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires work in an office environment and construction job sites.
