Inventory Specialist job in Shawnee, Kansas!

Location: 23501 W 84th St. Shawnee KS 66227

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Compensation: $22-24 per hour

About the Role:

Join our team as an Inventory Specialist and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy. You'll manage the movement, restocking, and accurate accounting of pharmaceutical supplies while operating advanced pharmacy automation equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Track and manage the inventory of pharmaceutical supplies, including restocking shelves, rotating stock, and monitoring expiration dates.
  • Operate and maintain various pharmacy automation systems such as Autofill devices, Baker Cells, Kalish cells, A-frames, and repackaging equipment.
  • Fill and stock medications in automated devices and designated storage locations.
  • Use computer systems and scanning equipment to ensure precise selection of medications based on name, strength, and National Drug Code (NDC).
  • Compile and maintain inventory records, identify supply needs, and recommend re-order points for revolving stock.

What We're Looking For:

  • High School Diploma (HS) or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • At least four years of relevant experience.
  • Strong math skills and the ability to perform basic calculations.
  • Proficiency with typing and PC-based computer systems.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English as required by U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 150 pounds, and perform repetitive motions, as well as stand or sit for extended periods (8-10 hours).
