We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Monitor compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Participate in audits, both internal and external, by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-3 years of accounting experience; CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
