Job Description:
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
- Be aware of responsibilities and accountability as clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systems
- Provide daily coaching supervision and feedback to all department employees
- Coordinate all the shipping activities of the department
- Provide backup to shipping/receiving and warehouse personnel as needed
- Oversee freight program and policies
- Audit monthly freight charges
- Continually improve overall performance of the shipping/receiving/warehouse department
- Fill in for Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse Area Manager in his/her/their absence
- Participate in scheduled weekend overtime
- Assist shipping area manager with coordination of all inventories
- Increase overall productivity to meet customer requirements
- Monitor schedules, rush orders, hot list, call-ins etc.
- Monitor work areas to ensure all employees are working safely
- Identify and implement process improvements & increased productivity opportunities
- Enhance internal and external department communication toward creating and maintaining a cohesive work environment
- Assist the Department Area Manager in the following areas: weekly/daily manning requirements, overtime requirements, quality complaints
- Provide input into employee disciplinary issues and performance reviews in a timely manner and in line with employee handbook

- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
- Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office and understanding of an ERP system
- General knowledge of SAP functions in inventory management and warehouse management
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent
