Position Overview: The Business Development Executive will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of our recruitment services. This role requires an individual with a proven track record in sales and business development within the recruitment industry, particularly in working with government and state-level clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and managing accounts to ensure long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to acquire new business opportunities within the recruitment sector, with a specific focus on DIR Texas and other state clients.
Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, including HR managers, procurement officers, and government agencies.
Manage the sales process from initial contact through to closing, ensuring that client needs are fully understood and met.
Present recruitment solutions and services to prospective clients, highlighting the benefits and value proposition.
Work closely with internal recruitment teams to ensure a seamless transition from client acquisition to service delivery.
Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs, contributing to the overall growth and success of the business.
Stay up-to-date with market trends, government regulations, and the needs of state clients to position the company as a leader in the field.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and progress in the CRM system.
Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance the company’s brand presence and drive lead generation efforts.
Assist in responding to RFQs, RFPs, and other procurement-related activities for state and government clients.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a strong background in recruitment services.
Proven experience in working with state clients, specifically within DIR Texas, government contracts, and procurement processes.
Deep understanding of recruitment processes and industry-specific regulations, particularly in the public sector.
Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
Proficient in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with government contracting and procurement platforms (e.g., eProcurement, Texas Statewide Procurement).
Knowledge of DIR Texas and other government-related recruitment needs and processes.
Existing network and relationships within government agencies and state-level clients.
