What to Expect


The Litigation Contracts Associate will support and administer key processes relating to contracts, billing, workflow management, subpoena and dispute management and litigation support. This position will work across all areas within Legal & Compliance to enable the efficient and effective delivery of legal and compliance services to our internal and external stakeholders.


What You Will Do


1. Administration

• Review and process daily inbound legal requests, including, but not limited to, contract review requests and legal advice requests and identify and assign matters as appropriate to responsible attorney/team member.

• Coordinate department and external stakeholder budget activities and accrual reporting.

2. Contracts

• Update and maintain the Legal Team's business-facing contract review tracker.

• Manage the legal contract database on the company network; manage and update Ariba contract system, including uploading documentation, assigning tasks, updating information and publishing contracts

• Secure signatures from the Company's executive team on contracts and agreements and follow up with business units for vendor signatures, including obtaining PARs and drafting contract summaries; process scanning and e-filing of all executed contracts

• Process scanning and e-filing of all executed contracts.

• Act as liaison between Procurement and Legal with respect to assignment of contracts for review and contract status.

3. Litigation Support

• Execute on pre-litigation and litigation matters, including creating files, calendars, check requests and collecting relevant information from business units and outside parties.

4. Subpoena and Dispute Management

• Process incoming subpoenas by identifying, researching and gathering relevant information required to respond to subpoenas served on the company and its affiliates.

5. Process Improvement

• Evaluate current processes for efficiency and recommend enhancements.

• Support the implementation of new processes.



Qualifications




What You Will Bring


• Minimum 4-6 years high-level secretarial and legal support to a group of attorneys in an in-house legal environment.

• Associate's degree required, college degree preferred.

• Excellent Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Working knowledge of in-house legal department operations.

• Experience using Adobe EchoSign and Ariba contract management system.

• Ability to learn multiple software systems and interfaces.

• Effective time management skills with attention to detail and follow through.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to undertake substantial and diverse job responsibilities with minimal supervision.

• Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.



Work Environment


Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.


The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
