Position Overview
The Corporate Business Development Senior Liaison for Brand Engagement Services and Partnerships and Office of Advancement uses their extended knowledge, experience and expertise to work with alumni, donors, fans, and other constituents including national and local corporations, community organizations, and community members to generate revenue-producing sponsorships that add value to our constituent experiences at and with Ohio State. This includes developing and managing current and future sponsorship opportunities.
The Senior Liaison provides personal attention to corporate clients and assures the highest level of service. They will provide customized proposals to the client using discretion to extend offers, programming sponsorships, discounts or value-added items necessary to meet the client budgets, negotiates rates and contracts, and works closely with team members and campus partners on fulfillment opportunities and activation steps.
Consistent with the Advancement engagement continuum, the Senior Liaison will work to acquire, retain, and deepen engagement of Ohio State constituencies like alumni, donors, fans, friends, grateful patients, and clients through marketing, sponsorship activations, and measurable interactions like email analytics, attendance at events, and involvement with Ohio State. Sponsorship activations should include email and social media engagement, programming experiences that include virtual and in-person sessions, and discounts or benefits for alumni and other constituents when appropriate.
The Senior Liaison works to create and update web site content, proactively manage and solicit advertising opportunities and inquiry responses, and manage an integrated marketing calendar that incorporates content from various departments and channels. They will also track fulfillment and activation requirements for sponsorship efforts.
The Senior Liaison will be responsible for managing content and development in the Buckeye Business Directory, made up of businesses owned and managed by Ohio State alumni and friends, and work to expand those relationships to include additional areas of engagement. The Senior Liaison will also be responsible for the management of all agreements, MOUs and relationships with vendors.
This position will require some night and weekend work.

Duties and Responsibilities

Generate revenue-producing sponsorships for the Office of Advancement/Alumni Association and act as department representative for Business Advancement, including development and management of current and future opportunities.

Activate strategy to acquire, retain, and deepen engagement of Ohio State constituencies like alumni, donors, fans, friends, grateful patients, and corporate clients through marketing, sponsorship activation, and measurable interactions. Lead activation fulfillment and reporting for university and alumni association sponsors and affinity partners.

Manage and solicit advertising opportunities and inquiry responses, create and update sponsor-related website content, and manage integrated marketing calendars. Track fulfillment and activation requirements for sponsorship efforts. Create and manage sponsorship impact and activation fulfillment reports to be shared with department and university leaders.

Lead the management of the Buckeye Alumni Business Directory, facilitate business development and relationship management of Buckeye-owned national and local corporations. Leverage relationships for additional advertising with the Ohio State University Alumni Magazine, OnCampus Today, and Buckeye Nation Rewards.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
4 years of experience in business development, customer relationship management, sponsorship, and/or alumni relations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven success in sponsorship activation and engagement Proficient in MS Office skills
Proven ability to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

The budget for this position is up to $79,952.35. The offer for this position will be based on internal equity and the candidate's qualifications.
