Description:
The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of urology and reproductive biology with a focus on andrology and infertility treatment and general urology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Urology or foreign equivalent or eligible for such certification.
Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students, residents and fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients with symptoms related to andrology and/or infertility as well as general urological complaints.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical and/or basic science research in the areas of andrology, infertility and reproductive biology.
The practice associated with this position will include appointments in the Departments of Surgery (urology) and Obstetrics/Gynecology (reproductive biology). The successful candidate will be fellowship-trained and academically- and practice-oriented.
