Job Description Summary:

As the Slack Administrator you would be responsible for the administration of the Slack Enterprise at PayPal. You will work with external partners from across different organizations. You will be able to enforce existing Slack standards and review and policies and procedures and monitor its success in the enterprise. Automating business processes where possible is an essential part of the role. You will spearhead technical design of the environment, as well as ongoing architecture changes and maintenance.

Your way to impact



Your role in providing walk-up instant help and serve as a point of contact for the Enterprise Systems Slack implementation as a technical resource.



Your day to day



  • Administration; Architecture; User provisioning; Settings and policies; Channel structure; Application approval processes; Data security; Process design, Authentication, Authorization, Configuration, operations and Integration with Enterprise and Custom systems.

  • Review existing standards and refine governance model, Slack enterprise grid, workspaces, external collaboration and partner channels, and other Document management systems and build onto an organizational structure that will allow for maximum automation and scalability.

  • Work with the Identity Management Team(s) for account lifecycle and security policy management and manage numerous tasks simultaneously.

  • Balance user experience with security requirements and knowledge on setting up of SSO in Slack integrated with SSO provider like OKTA, PingID, AzureAD, understanding of RBAC in Slack and Slack Governance.

  • Hands on experience managing a large-scale slack implementation as an enterprise tool

  • An ability to thrive in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short- and long-term requirements

  • A passion for technology and an ability to identify new opportunities for efficiency and productiveness while solving problems

  • Ability to work effectively with team members, peers, and others in and outside the organization to accomplish goals and objectives, and to identify and resolve problems

  • Strong Slack automation knowledge building bots and apps



Communication Skills:



  • Strong communications skills and ability to work cohesively as part of a team


Education:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Must be a Slack Certified Administrator

  • 3-5 years of experience in Slack Administration and implementation


Workplace Model:



  • Hybrid (in-office three days a week).

$84500 to $204600
