Aerostar SES LLC (ASL) is growing! We are seeking a talented Senior Project Engineer to join our ASL team. The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading and managing environmental projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and developing innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges. This role involves technical expertise, project management, and coordination with various stakeholders to promote sustainable practices and minimize environmental impact.

This is a HYBRID position located in either Jacksonville or Orlando, Florida and 10% travel is required for projects.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage environmental engineering projects from conception through completion. Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
Provide technical guidance on engineering issues and interpret engineering data results to make informed decisions.
Preparation of technical reports, specifications, and plans; data management and evaluation; and assessment and remediation.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
Evaluate, design, and perform pilot tests for remediation systems.
Design and prepare reports for remediation systems including, but not limited to, air sparging and soil vapor extraction.
Manage environmental construction activities implementing and installing engineering designs such as remediation systems, trenching, piping, and site restoration.
Communicate with clients and project managers regarding project status via email or phone.
Field oversight of remediation activities and subcontractors
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, mechanical or chemical engineering from an ABET accredited school
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required; certifications related to environmental management (e.g., LEED, CEM) can be advantageous.
5-10 years of experience in environmental remediation and consulting.
Knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
Experience w/ the design, construction, and operation of remediation systems.
Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.
As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience w/ the design, construction, and operation of remediation systems is desirable.
Environmental engineering degree a plus
PMP or CHMM
Experience interacting with regulatory agencies and their technical staff (state, local, federal).
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working Environment
Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
