Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a Marketing Coordinator I to join our Marketing department in the Lakewood, Colorado office. Primary responsibilities include supporting marketing efforts by writing, editing, and producing proposals. Additional tasks include updating proposal opportunities and employee, client, and project information using client relationship management (CRM) software. Assist in the planning, implementation, and follow-up of marketing initiatives as assigned. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Proposal Manager and/or Director of Marketing.

EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce proposal and qualifications documents (including organizing, formatting, writing, editing, production). Obtains feedback from technical leads
  • Prepare and maintain general and pre-qualification materials for targeted market sector/project pursuits
  • Work with other marketing coordinators to support prime proposal pursuits
  • Initiate internal and external client contact as needed for proposal development
  • Maintain and update CRM database with client, corporate, employee, and project data
  • Assist with internal marketing communication and events
  • Assist with business development efforts
  • Assist with writing, editing, and proof-reading articles, award submittals, social media posts, and press releases
  • Conduct market, client, and project research
  • Build and maintain a strong network of peers, mentors, and clients by attending industry events
  • Work overtime when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES

This position is primarily administrative in nature, working mostly inside of the office, completing a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:

  • Completing repetitive movement on tasks such as using a mouse or keyboard
  • Remain stationary for long periods of time
  • Read, communicate, and document in English
  • Identify color
  • Determine and exchange accurate information
  • Occasionally move about outside of the office
  • Occasionally move or hold objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactively engages in tasks beyond stated responsibilities
  • Acts as a team player, cooperating with others on projects and assignments

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2+ years of work experience in proposal development, marketing, or business administration communications, preferably in the A/E/C industry
  • Computer skills: CRM, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office
  • Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and delivery methods
  • Experience with diverse types of proposals (SF330, RFP, RFQ, Prime, subconsultant, etc.)
  • Knowledge of editing and proofreading techniques, Associated Press (AP) style
  • Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task, and pay close attention to details
  • Performs in a consistent and positive manner
  • Knowledge of database concepts
  • Possesses professional demeanor/interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of professionals
