Summary/Objective: We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Quality Management team as part of a comprehensive development program. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain extensive, hands-on experience across multiple departments over a 3-5 year period, with a focus on developing the leadership skills and technical expertise needed to excel in quality management roles.The Quality Manager in this program will complete a series of rotational assignments, working closely with departments such as Quality Assurance, Operations, Product Development, and Supply Chain.At the end of the program, the successful candidate will have developed a deep, cross-functional understanding of quality assurance systems, risk management, regulatory requirements, and operational excellence. They will be well-prepared to take on leadership responsibilities in a quality management role within the organization.Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
Implement robust quality systems in a complex manufacturing environment.
Proactively engage in the product/process development and preproduction stages to ensure products and processes are released with integrated quality feedback along with robust quality controls.
Drive continuous improvement within operations through six sigma andlean manufacturing techniques.
Apply problem solving methodology to identify root cause(s) of quality issues andimplement product quality improvements through preventive and/or correctiveactions.
Customer Facing: Participate in customer audits, interface with customers for quality-related tasks, and collect/summarize customer quality data to drive improvement.
Supplier Quality: Partner with Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) to interface with suppliers for Quality relatedtasks, audits and incidents to minimize quality risk from incoming materials.
Ensure Quality engineering support for R&D, marketing, andoperations for the development, modification, and qualification of new productsand existing released products.
Ensure proper documentation of processes exists and is beingfollowed.
Partner with Engineering and Operations to form a cohesive team,quick to solve issues.Drive Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) efforts and oversee implementation of controls and metrics.
Work to sustain and improve quality management systems ofISO-9001, IATF 16949, and others.
Achieve high level of competence using Samtec corporate systems, data, and tools necessary to analyze and evaluated quality related issues.
Must be capable of simultaneously managing several strategic and tactical efforts as needed to support both internal and external quality.

3+ years experience as a Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, Process Engineer, or related role.
Knowledge of quality tools, such as Root Cause Analysis, 8D, GR&R, FMEA, SPC, and Six Sigma Techniques.
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Sharepoint, OneDrive, OneNote, etc)
Quality certification is desirable (CQM, CQE, or related)
Experience with planning and conducting process audits
Knowledge of QMS Standards AS9100, ISO 13485, or IATF 16949
Preferred Education:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
Six Sigma Certification is preferred (Green Belt, Black Belt).
