The purpose of this position is to own and execute a core organizational program (Resource Development) for the manufacturing operations technical team. This program consists of projects, initiatives, and daily business activities that are built into the flow of our business operations and our continuous improvement efforts. Leveraging Schreiber’s project and program management toolset, such as Enterprise Project Management (EPM), DMAIC or Agile, this individual will facilitate, organize, and lead program and project related efforts enabling the operations team to meet financial, scope and scheduled-based commitments to the organization. This individual will lead project processes across all functional areas of the business, including manufacturing and ensure projects achieve defined project success criteria while achieving the desired strategic and business outcomes. This individual will partner with executives, senior leaders, plant leaders, plant SME’s, cross-functional business leaders and other stakeholders to prioritize and execute projects and guide strategic initiatives crossing business teams. This individual will help promote a strong understanding of program and project portfolio management within the operations organization. This position will report to the Operations Projects Group Leader.
What you’ll do:
Leads cross-functional teams for assigned projects and initiatives. Ensures adherence to sound project management processes (EPM, DMAIC, Agile) to achieve desired project and business outcomes. Prioritizes, plans and coordinates projects and initiatives within assigned program track within MOEX (Manufacturing Operations Excellence)
Identifies, develops, and documents standardized project and business processes and tools for the manufacturing operations organization.
Leads continuous improvement activities supporting the organizational maturity of project and core business processes within the MOEX space.
Establishes meaningful measures and report on results and progress of project management programs/initiatives.
Advocates for project management best practices at Schreiber and assists in the growth of Schreiber’s organizational competency.
Works with other areas of the business to integrate core project related disciplines into one cohesive project execution strategy.
Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Human Resources, Business, Resource/Organizational Development
10+ years Business and Project related experience, ideally in manufacturing. -Experience heavily grounded in HR processes, Resource Development, and Organizational Development -Organizational leadership experience strongly preferred.
Ideal candidate will have emerging to a strong degree of project management competence and project experiences. Sound CI (continuous improvement) project management understanding.
Strong organizational and communication skillset; highly organized, process oriented, strong desire to learn new skills in the project space. Servant leadership mindset. High attention to detail. Facilitate communication and collaboration to advance workforce-related projects
Desire to grow and take on new challenges and opportunities. Must be self-motivated and ability to be self-led. High energy and methodical with ability to make decisions, build trust and facilitate negotiations.
Able to guide strategic initiatives across multiple business teams to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment with organizational objectives. Facilitate development, improvement, and management of business processes and programs. Experience influencing without direct authority.
Comfortable interacting with multiple levels of the organization across various platforms
Ability to travel 10%
