Leidos QTC Health Services and our affiliated medical professional corporations (“PCs”), QTC Medical Group Inc., dba QTC Medical Group California, collaborate closely with government and non-government customers to address current and future program needs within the health services domain. In coordination with the PCs, we specialize in disability-focused medical examinations, independent medical exams and review services, occupational health services, diagnostic testing, and case management solutions. We are seeking an Audiologist at our Sacramento, California clinic to help ensure our service members get the best care possible. You will play a vital role in the continued care of these men and women. 


Your Role at QTC Medical Group Inc., dba QTC Medical Group California:


As an Audiologist with QTC Medical Group Inc., dba QTC Medical Group California, a Leidos QTC Health Service affiliated professional corporation, you will apply the principles of hearing science and audiology to formulate an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO) and/or independent medical exam to a unique claimant population of past and present military service members. The scope of practice of the audiologist is to provide a professional opinion to the severity of the hearing problem, the diagnosis, the causation, and assessing the probability that the hearing problem is related to military service.


Pay Range:



  • Salary: $90k-$170k w/ quarterly bonus eligibility (Based on combination of relevant experience, education, and other relevant qualifications) 


Work Schedule, Location, and Other Information:  



  • Generally Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch from 12:00-1:00 pm. Possible infrequent weekends/evening coverage depending on clinic needs but max hours per week will be 40.

  • Clinic Address- 77 Scripps Dr. Ste 202, Sacramento, CA 95825

  • 3 weeks onboarding / training.

  • 12-20 patients daily (depending on exam duration and complexity) with built in admin time.

  • Support staff including MA’s to provide in clinic support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for administering and interpreting a variety of tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, such as air and bone conduction, and speech reception and discrimination tests, the site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech.

  • Evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational and conduct medical record reviews of past audiograms and documents to determine the likely cause of the hearing loss, and to state the prognosis and address the issues of hearing loss and tinnitus.

  • Operates computerized programs and utilizes application software and databases in order to enter, modify, and access information into/from electronic medical records, and utilizing report writing formats.

  • Maintains patient confidentiality with written and verbal information per HIPAA.

  • Responsible for conducting otoscopic examinations, cerumen management, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment.

  • Lead paraprofessional staff training for Audiology specific skills and certifications as required by all LOB.

  • Completion of Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs).

  • You will also have the ability to travel (up to 50%) to provide audiology examinations for clients in multiple locations throughout the country.

  • Technically competent with computers/tablets to include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using Electronic Medical Records.

  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations.


Required Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)



  • Doctorate Degree in Audiology (Au. D) from an accredited college or university is required.


  • 5+ years of clinic practice experience.

  • Professional experience directly related or desire to work with Compensation and Pension Examination, and experience with hearing conservation programs/and or noise conservation programs preferred but not required.

  • Currently licensed Audiologist in state employed and license shall be unrestricted.

  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and/or American Academy of Audiology (AAA) certification prior to hire. Will reimburse for cost. 

  • Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Government Clearances (LARS/Public Trust Clearance, etc.

  • Receive a medical clearance that may consist of passing an N95 respirator fit test and properly wear organizational standard respiratory protective equipment as required. Pass a Tuberculosis/TB test and receive a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or pass a Hepatitis A/B Titer test.  



  • Ability to earn and maintain training/certifications as required to support current and future contracts.
