The demand planner will be responsible for demand planning activities within the Consumer Products business unit. The demand planner will use analytics, marketing, and sales data to effectively create forecasts for future demand at both product family and customer/item level detail. To succeed in the role, the demand planner should be highly analytical, possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, and have in-depth knowledge of advanced forecasting techniques.
Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains a rolling 18-month forecast for finished products.
Facilitates demand process to arrive at consensus forecast with Sales Managers/Directors, Brand Directors, and Finance Team.
Generates measurement systems and reports designed to measure and improve forecast accuracy.
Develop and maintain effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
Supporting management with risk assessments and scenario planning.
Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
Leads demand planning meetings as part of S&OP cycle
Responsible for preparation, analysis, and presentation of relevant material to facilitate a monthly demand planning cycle.
Provide input to the Supply Planning team to develop inventory strategies
Desired Experience:
1-3 years of experience in demand planning or a similar role, preferably in the CPG industry.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency utilizing integrated business planning software, preferably Kinaxis
Experience using data visualization software, preferably Tableau
Familiar with advanced analytical tools for gathering, cleaning, and modeling data (Example: Alteryx)
Education
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields
