Salary: $19.00 USD Hourly - $21.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Medical Assistant I in Downey, CA!
Job Type: Ongoing Contract (W2, Weekly Pay, Benefits Available)
Hours: Monday-Friday 8-5pm PST
Location: Downey, CA 90241
Compensation: $19-21 based on education/experience
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Assist clinicians with patient examinations and treatments.
- Provide front and/or back office support.
- Greet patients and ensure their data and paperwork are in order.
- Conduct patient interviews, measure vital signs, and record reasons for visits.
- Explain procedures, perform treatments, and administer prescribed medications.
- Oversee patient check-out, schedule follow-up appointments, and collect co-payments.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, and reconcile co-payments daily.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant certification from an accredited school.

Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Covid Vax &TB Test required.
- Phlebotomy background preferred.
