Wood is currently recruiting for a Piping & Mechanical Designer with experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for design work supporting small facility based projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant as part of the Bishop Texas capital project's group.
Permanent Full Time Position with opportunities for Overtime
Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.

Read and fully understand all documents which describe the scope of work to be done
Plans & elevations
Isometrics
Vendor Drawings
Provide piping & mechanical designs for capital and maintenance projects
Field as-built, measurement as required
Apply company and industry standards to generate piping & mechanical construction drawings
Create written field letters to describe required work
Perform material take-offs and Create BOMs
Assist with construction estimating
QUALIFICATIONS
3-6 years industrial experience working in the design field
Chemical Manufacturing or Related Industry Experience is required
Experience as a pipe fitter is desirable
Experience with design of piping & mechanical systems
