This skilled position involves electrical and mechanical assembly of electrical, electronic products, and mechanical components with a focus on customer and production support. Working with high precision electrical products, performing hands-on integration within a growing and evolving flight missions, space, aerospace, and defense environment. Responsibilities:
Electrical/mechanical assembly requirements that follow blueprints, checklists, and/or diagrams to ensure product specification levels are met.
Ensure the requirements of Bill of Materials (BOM) and customer specifications are achieved to maintain company and industry standards.
Read and work to technical procedures, drawings, and electrical schematics.
Identify and resolve build problems.
Record and report technical/BOM issues using established non-compliance documentation.
Contribute to performance of the production team through productivity improvement initiatives.
Cross-training within the department to learn other skills and work processes.
Fabricate hardware, equipment, tools, or prototypes from drawings or schematics.
Develop the ability to perform manufacturing tasks associated with torquing, soldering, and assembling a variety of products to include reworking of printed circuit boards.
Ability to become J-STD-001 certified for soldering.
Ability to become IPC 620 certified for harness and cabling.
Ability to perform rack and chassis level integration building.
Basic Qualifications:
High school or equivalent
3 years understanding basic electronic elements and experience with assembling electro-mechanical products.
Must be mechanically inclined with a curiosity and aptitude to learn.
Ability to speak up as appropriate and escalate issues as required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain a high degree of flexibility and assist others as needed.
Computer proficiency with a willingness to learn new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Harness and Cabling certification
Soldering certification
Previous experience with rack building assemblies, soldering, cabling a plus.
Previous experience using ultrasonic cleaners a plus.
Previous experience working with epoxies and vacuum chambers a plus.
Pay Range: $50,000 - $80,000
