Responsible for ensuring the proper availability of OR case resources throughout the organization using system tools and communication with health care providers and OR, Supply Chain, and Sterile Processing staff. Conflict resolve resource limitations from remote locations to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Ensure clinician satisfaction and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Maintain and update instruments, equipment, and supplies used in providing specialty care or services
Facilitate changes in care based on systematic evaluation and evidence-based research
Provide specialized services, care plans and protocols
Assure delivery of specialized care and/or services
Develop a plan to acquire, maintain and update equipment and supplies
Use critical thinking skills and professional judgement to apply/adopt information to address patient safety issues
Influence others to utilize best practices
Assure team provides effective communication/collaboration
Assist with development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements
Shared responsibility for Quality Assurance with supervisors

Supervise/implement enhancements to care delivery model or operations to support compliance and/or to improve quality of efficiency of care provided
Knowledge and application of the communication techniques and relationship building skills that develop the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
Manages both time and resources to get things done
Knowledge of health care policies related to clinical practices including sterile processing and applicable standards, laws, and regulations
Ability to demonstrate ethical behavior in diverse situations

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Nursing Required
Minimum of three years current clinical experience required
Current license to practice nursing within the state of Iowa
Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility
Ability to instruct and collaborate with others
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Ability to multi-task and work through competing priorities
Previous work history in the logistics of complex environments including managing many resources to align good customer service
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working in OR
Knowledge of university policies and procedures
