Our client is hiring a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Information Technology to lead the IT strategy and operations for a leading healthcare organization. This executive role is pivotal in driving the company's technology initiatives to support growth, enhance operational efficiency, and improve patient care. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO, balancing startup agility with strategic focus, and blending short-term actions with long-term vision. This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage IT resources, align technology with business objectives, and foster innovation. The role entails full-time engagement with occasional local and some out-of-area travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable the IT team, promoting employee engagement and high-functioning teams through the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) framework.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute the company's IT strategy within time, specifications, and budget constraints, ensuring alignment with company goals.

  • Research, prioritize, and implement new technologies that align with strategic goals to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance patient care.

  • Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies to safeguard patient and business data, along with creating and updating disaster recovery and contingency plans.

  • Motivate and manage internal and external cross-functional project teams to achieve IT objectives.

  • Manage technology and software vendor relations, ensuring support for the company's operations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within LTC pharmacy, healthcare, or related industries.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation in a mid-sized or large organization.

  • Strong understanding of long-term care or pharmacy-specific technology needs.

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance.

  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, lead cross-functional project teams, and manage internal technical resources.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and project management skills.

  • Ability to manage budgets and assess technology ROI effectively.

  • Experience with scaling fast-growth business operations organically and through M&A activity.

Availability for primarily local travel during the business day, with some out-of-area and overnight travel as required.
