As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Database Administrator to join our team.



Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
  • Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, and patches for platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and tuning techniques.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database performance using administration tools and utilities.
  • Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Develop and maintain data models, ensuring proper normalization and data integrity.
  • Automate routine database tasks using scripting languages such as SQL or Python.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support database-related aspects of application design and deployment.
  • Ensure database security by adhering to best practices for access control, encryption, and auditing.
  • Support cloud-based database solutions in platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in database management systems (DBMS): Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
  • Experience with database design, implementation, administration, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in database administration tools and utilities for monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation.
  • Understanding of data modeling, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
  • Familiarity with backup/recovery strategies and performance tuning techniques.
