As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Database Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, and patches for platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and tuning techniques.
Monitor and troubleshoot database performance using administration tools and utilities.
Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
Develop and maintain data models, ensuring proper normalization and data integrity.
Automate routine database tasks using scripting languages such as SQL or Python.
Collaborate with development teams to support database-related aspects of application design and deployment.
Ensure database security by adhering to best practices for access control, encryption, and auditing.
Support cloud-based database solutions in platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proficiency in database management systems (DBMS): Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL.
Strong knowledge of SQL and familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
Experience with database design, implementation, administration, and maintenance.
Proficiency in database administration tools and utilities for monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation.
Understanding of data modeling, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
Familiarity with backup/recovery strategies and performance tuning techniques.
