Jaxon Engineering is looking for Procurement Specialists to work out of our Colorado Springs shop.
Jaxon is a distinguished leader in Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) hardening and survivability. We design EMP systems and facilities and deliver high quality technical services. Jaxon is the only company able to offer turnkey EMP shielding products and services to our Department of Defense and commercial customers.
This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of purchase requisitions and purchase orders to meet quality standards and project timelines. This role also interacts regularly with all departments within the organization as well as with many external suppliers. Effective communication skills along with attention to detail are required to ensure Jaxon is acquiring quality goods and services from the appropriate suppliers.
Salary: $58,000-$65,000 per year

PrimaryDuties
Execute procurement & vendor management duties for multiple projects across multiple departments
Verify product requirements and coordinate material purchases for projects across multiple departments
Review purchase requisitions for clarity, compliance, detail, and completeness. Follow up with internal stakeholders to rectify discrepancies prior to placing orders with suppliers.
Maintain supplier files and purchase order records in accordance with Jaxon's established policies, procedures, and guidelines
Manage the supplier approval process for select vendors
Requirements:
(Required):
Minimum of 1 year of closely related, industry experience
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) processes and procedures
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while juggling multiple priorities
Detail-oriented and can easily coordinate work while maintaining compliance with multiple contract requirements
Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook and Windows programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, while also able to work independently
(Preferred):
Associates' degree or higher in Business or a related field, and 5 or more years of closely related, industry experience
Experience as a project coordinator or project engineer for Department of Defense construction projects
