Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java API Developer for a 100% telecommute role. This is a contract-to-hire position, open to candidates who may require sponsorship for full-time employment conversion.

As a Senior API Developer, you will be part of our client's dynamic team, working on a project that involves mapping and data content analysis leveraging Teradata SQL skills. You will also be responsible for Java and/or C# development for highly complex APIs associated with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) healthcare standard.

Key Responsibilities:
- Map Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) target to source data elements
- Develop Application Programming Interface (API) with Java or C# coding language
- Support API calls from external sources directly to Teradata
- Work with the client to provide REST APIs in accordance with Secure Coding Practices
- Interface with senior management and articulate outcomes to the client

Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven success in the development of APIs
- Proficiency in SQL, Java, or C#
- Knowledge of the healthcare environment and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in providing industry-standard technical solutions to clients
- Ability to articulate and communicate outcomes to clients

Our client's team structure includes a Project Manager and a Developer. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be a key contributor to this team. Please note that candidates must complete a background check and drug screen upon offer.
