EMG Clinical Operations Supervisor, Full-Time, First Shift, EMG Neurology

UC Health is hiring a full-time Electromyography(EMG) Clinical Operations Supervisor for the Neurology department for the first shift at UC Health.

The Neurology Department's Electromyography(EMG) Clinical Operations Supervisor will support the University of Cincinnati Medical Center's unit and Greater Cincinnati's only Level I Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs. The major focus on the supervisors' role is to assists with the day-to-day management of the administrative and clinical functions in the clinical sites to provide excellent patient/customer service at all applicable sites. They will also operate electromyography equipment used in the diagnosis of muscle disease and denervation to test the electrical activity of muscles, and compute and record graphic data according to established procedures.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: Minimum of three years of EMG Technician experience preferred.

Certification: CNCT or R. NCST through AANEM/ABEM, preferred

Skills and Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate clearly with patients of all education levels. Strong line management, interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of people. Computer, telephone, fax machine utilization skills. Proven track record leading a successful team. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to work without close supervision and to set own priorities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.

  • Plans and schedules work assignments ensuring adequate service levels to physicians and patients.

  • Oversees training and orientation of new employees as well as ongoing skill training for existing staff.

  • Support in resolving disputes among patients, clinic staff and physicians.
  • Will act as an EMG Technician when needed
