Your Role:

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help us bring new capabilities to our corporate clients in the realm of real estate and space management. The ideal candidate will have the ability to span a spectrum of responsibilities from functional research and technical decisions, front and back coding and on-going maintenance. You will work in a highly collaborative Research and Development team and interact with software stakeholders to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended. The software engineer will also help plan projects and be involved in project management decisions.

What you will do:


  • Collaborate with cross-functional agile team of software engineers, product managers, client services and IT throughout the software development lifecycle;

  • Developing front-end website architecture and back-end website applications, ensuring that the entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability;

  • Designing user interactions on web pages;

  • Working with system administrators and DevOps engineers to support the performance and maintenance of web environments;

  • Ensuring responsiveness of applications for variety of devices and browser types;

  • Designing and developing APIs;

  • Analyze user stories and problems, identify and articulate right-sized solutions;

  • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices;

  • Meeting both technical and client needs;

  • Staying up to date with developments in web applications and programming languages;

  • Clearly and openly communicate ideas and ask questions of teammates via written and verbal channels;

  • Update and maintain legacy websites;

  • Train and mentor junior software engineers.

Your Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of experience as software engineer;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or MIS preferred;

  • Proficiency With;

  • C#, React, Typescript, HTML, CSS;

  • Classic ASP, BackboneJS, Java;

  • Git and GitLab/Azure DevOps pipelines;

  • Cloud Platforms (AWS and Azure);

  • CAD/Spatial Data;

  • Working knowledge of the agile workflow and software development lifecycle;

  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL;

  • Proven experience developing highly available, scalable, and stable web applications  ;

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver software that is reliable, secure, and feature rich in a timely manner;

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and balance conflicting demands;

  • Create documentation to meet regulation and compliance standards;

  • A “client first” mindset to satisfy the needs of internal and external clients;

  • Ability to communicate trade-offs and interact with stakeholders at all levels;

  • Security-conscious thinking and practice with ability to give examples;

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills;

  • Strong analytical skills coupled with technical creativity and vision;

  • Self-motivator who can run with tasks or projects on their own.
