Your Role:

Your Responsibilities

This position is responsible for driving implementation of marketing strategies and playbooks within US Beef Marketing for the brands and therapeutic areas assigned.  This role will work collaboratively with the Ruminant marketing team in the US and Central marketing teams.


  • Business Ownership

    • Develops business plan and acts on marketing guidelines and customer objectives from the brand plan.

    • Manages budgets and creates forecast—participates in S&OP process.

    • Acts in accordance with marketing compliance and plays an active role in knowledge transfer to commercial teams.



  • Strategy Execution

    • Executes strategies/brand plans—Works with strategic plans developed specie marketing leader, executes local portfolio strategy (with Sales), and creates and delivers pricing, profitability and promotional guidance.

    • Metrics/Measurement—Tracks KPIs and metrics and connects with CBT to provide shared learnings, feedback, and questions.



  • Brand Development
    • Ensures brand plans/positioning and playbooks are executed accurately with the US Beef market.


  • Insights and Analytics

    • Gathers and funnels data and insights from customer interactions, local database, competitive information into the specie marketing leader and central brand lead.

    • Participates in/facilitates relevant local research being conducted.



  • Marketing Execution

    • Marketing Campaign execution—Executes brand implementation plan, Marketing Mix decisions, media planning and agency management.

    • Works with other stakeholders—Understands and seeks to influence guidelines, regulations or access issues, influences sales cycle processes and Sales force alignment and education, executes local KOL program and launch programs.

    • Management and oversight of product agreements with customers.



  • Managerial/Cultural--

    • Develops intra-company relationships—strong link to Central Branding Team and US commercial management and Species Lead.

    • Leadership—possesses the ability to inspire and align the organization, strong communication skills and executive presence.

    • Respects and leverages diversity.



What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, Marketing/Business preferred.


  • Required Experience: 5+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing, preferably in animal health or agriculture related field.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Elanco Animal Health does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
