Key Account Channel Manager, Medical Device Sales

Northwest Territory

Travel up to 70%

Medaxis is seeking a Key Account Channel Manager for the northwestern states.

-The ideal candidate is very sales oriented and understands how to build relationships and close deals.

-Must be clinically adept, has acute care or wound care experience in medical device sales.

-This position is responsible for developing and implementing an overall strategic plan to grow the region by securing new business and growing existing business in designated accounts.

Key Experience Needed: Key Account Channel Manager, Medical Device


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred

  • Minimum two years’ medical device sales experience

  • Strong independent project management capabilities and organizational skills required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities

  • Computer proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)

  • Experience working in an environment with global objectives

  • Travel up to 70%

Position Responsibilities-Key Account Channel Manager, Medical Device


  • Responsible for prospecting new opportunities, engaging with key decision makers, planning and executing evaluations to close new business

  • Work closely with the Regional director to develop strategic plans to drive revenue growth for the region

  • Serve as the primary point of contact within all channels of business (Hospitals, LTC, SNF’s, Clinics, DME’s) that are assigned by the Regional Director

  • Collaborate with key acute care partners on new acute care opportunities, evaluation planning and implementation

  • Collaborate with post-acute partners to drive new starts activity from existing business, while prospecting opportunities for new post-acute business

  • Responsible for NPWT product in-servicing throughout hospitals: surgeons, nurses, biomed, case management and other departments, while engaging with the Clinical Account Manager to support key clinical training

  • Responsible for developing funnel opportunities within designated territory to achieve territory quota

  • Lead multi-site facility rollouts for new product launches and conversions

  • Update sales opportunities

  • Travel up to 70%

  • Employee must meet vendor credentialing/compliance demands of accounts within given territory. This includes but not limited to: RepTrax, VendorMate, Status Blue, VCS, etc. For patient/customer safety purposes as part of the vendor credentialing process, Employee must satisfy account’s drug screening requirements, including but not limited to screening for marijuana use, regardless if use of marijuana is legal under applicable state law.  For more information, please refer to the Drug and Alcohol Workplace Policy.
