The Senior Program Specialist provides specialized and escalated support for Program Specialists and other essential operational functions.

Job Duties include:


  • Supporting complex applications, eligibility questions and general responsibilities involving case consultation.

  • Researches state and federal policies to develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.

  • Conducting second level reviews as needed.

  • Performs research functions, analyze data, and provide customer service and support.

  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

  • Provide mentoring support for Program Specialists.

  • Researches, retrieves, and analyzes information.

  • In coordination with management, ensure production and timelines are meeting program needs.

  • Collaborate with management to support other program related activities.

  • Identifies discrepancies and resolve problems.

  • Establishes and maintains professional internal and external relationships.

 

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED, AND: 


  • 18 months experience in data analysis, project coordination, or related experience.

Skills:


  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

  • Ability to understand written material and instructions

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to research information to obtain an answer or solution to a problem in a timely manner

  • None

Advertised Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to sit and talk for prolonged periods.

  • Hand and finger dexterity.

  • Engage in repetitive motion of the wrist, hand, and fingers. 

  • Standard Office Environment.

Departmental Preferences:



  • Familiarity with contact center technologies Experience providing coaching, mentoring and specialized support to staff
