About the Internship

This internship works within the Business Continuity Management Administrative Team to provide support where needed, and complete tasks as assigned. Business Continuity focuses on documentation, communication and actions plans to keep business operational during disruptive events. In turn, Disaster Recovery focuses on restoring data access and IT Infrastructure in the wake of a disaster, as well as testing redundancies and resiliency of critical systems. PREMIER BC & DR Interns will experience a high level of teamwork and collaboration, as well as opportunities to network with departmental and executive management, Information Technology teams and other PREMIER Interns. BCM is a unique opportunity to learn, understand and assist in the synergetic relationship between Information Technology and the business units which they support!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Participate in various Intern activities, training events and networking opportunities


• Complete given tasks, contribute to team collaboration and provide feedback


• Perform system data entry and maintenance as assigned


• Increase BCM knowledge through research, asking questions and possibly conducting interviews


• Work with Management and BCP Admins to advance or complete assigned projects


• Compile data, build reports and design graphics to make presentations to various audiences


• Use a combination of existing education and internship learnings to give suggestions on program and process enhancements


• Have fun!

Skills and Qualifications

• Applicant should be enrolled in or pursuing higher education


• Understand the vital role technology plays in the success of each business unit and PREMIER as a whole


• Exercise holistic thinking to map and recognize interdependencies


• Capacity for excellent verbal and written communications


• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, primarily Word and Excel


• Possess intermediate to exceptional PC skills


• Ability to be patient, listen well and use positive language


• Time management skills
