New Editions Consulting, Inc., a government consulting firm, is seeking a Program Evaluator to assist with federal and state contracts focused on health, aging, disability, and/or substance use disorders. Candidates with work experience in the government contracting environment preferred.
This position has flexible work arrangements; in-office, hybrid, or remote. Some travel for team meetings, project work, and conferences may be required.
Responsibilities:
· Plan and conduct quantitative, qualitative, and multi-method research and program evaluations
· Complete literature reviews, environmental scans, reviews of technical reports, lay summaries of research findings, issue briefs, and white papers
· Manage day-to-day operations of research or evaluation tasks (e.g., team meetings, monitoring deadlines)
· Assist with project management (e.g., lead project meetings, develop workplans, and track budgets and timelines)
· Communicate directly with government representatives and federal and/or state grantees
· Prepare project reports, presentations, literature reviews and other work products
· Participate in proposal writing and other corporate business development activities
Requirements:
· Master’s degree or Ph.D. in public health, social science, or rehabilitation field and 2 or more years of relevant experience
· Knowledge of a range of research methods including surveys, focus groups, case studies, formative and summative program evaluation
· Experience conducting quantitative data analysis strategies using statistical packages such as R or SPSS etc. and experience using qualitative analysis software (e.g., Atlas.ti).
· Excellent communication and writing skills
· Ability to plan, organize and implement tasks to achieve intended outcomes in an efficient manner
· Must work well independently and as part of a team
· Experience working on federal or state contract preferred
· Experience providing training and technical assistance in evaluation or related areas preferred
