Introduction
At Epiq Solutions, the project manager supports project launch, planning, control, and delivery against timeline and budget. The project manager works across functions to deliver for the business and improve our internal tools and processes.
Lead multi-disciplinary development efforts to meet technical, schedule, and cost requirements.
Identify and manage risks and opportunities including prioritization, mitigation, escalation, and resolution.
Negotiate and agree with the stakeholders on achievement of key requirements and objectives of the program.
Maintain hands-on control of the program through a process of regular reviews and team meetings (team members local and remote).
Maintain program visibility through regular technical, management, and progress meetings.
Demonstrate leadership across the organization, promoting common core values.
Support the project management discipline within the company.
Evolve and mature our tools and processes through end-to-end process development, transformation, and continuous process improvement.
Job Responsibilities
Project Manage a diverse range of Product, IT and Process Improvement Projects.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gain buy-in and confirm needed resources are available.
Create and monitor detailed master schedules including dependencies, risks, and issues.
Maintain oversight and accountability for project performance against an agreed set of metrics.
Motivate teams ensuring collaboration along with consistent communication throughout the rollouts.
Hold lessons learned after projects to strive for continuous improvement in project results.
Requirements:
Required Skills
Five+ years of relevant IT project/program management experience with a track record of strong performance working on complex cross-functional IT initiatives utilizing a structured project management methodology and formal tools/approaches
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related technical field
Highly flexible and adaptable to continuous change
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to solve problems with innovative thinking
Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
Desired Skills
PMP certification a plus
Change management training a plus
Experience as a project manager of federal contracts preferred
