What you will do
Troubleshot, modify, upgrade and participate of development of new systems or improvements to operations. This can include pneumatic, hydraulic, robots, servos, PLCs, Vision Systems, Safety Interlocks, etc. Works with Automation Supervisor and team along with SME leaders and Product Engineering counterparts to design or improve upon current systems, including the triggers to identify change, documented standards to use as criteria, approval processes, etc. to reduce long-term complexities that drive cost, and improve the bottom line (through repeated lessons learn, excessive spare parts, lengthy problem solving to rule out the multiple variables).
How you will do it:
Determine the automation capabilities of the facility.
Upgrade or deactivate existing automation systems.
Troubleshoot systems to identify and resolve issues within the facility.
Work with and/or train key counterparts on how to troubleshoot the system and work on improvements.
Manage the modifications or installation of equipment and processes.
Collaborate with counterparts to coordinate and control changes such that process and equipment changes support the product standardization vision, and vice versa.
Ability to interact with multiple functional groups to successfully execute the requirements of this position, such as SME's, product engineering, operations, and CI.
What we look for:
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related field.
Proficient in program languages
Preferred
Plastic Industry experience.
Experience using AutoCad, Solid Works.

Our Florence, Kentucky components plant began operations in 1978 and here is home to our components plant which manufactures PowerFrame® grids and our battery containers and covers. Here we produce around 173,000 cases a day.
