Job Summary:

• Previous experience with C-band tracking systems is desired for this position.

• The successful candidate must be able to interpret electrical diagrams and electronic schematics, understand vacuum tube theory, diode and transistor theory and be able to troubleshoot high voltage systems.

• Digital and analog electronic fundamentals and the ability to troubleshoot to the component level are required.

• Knowledge of test equipment operation for such items as signal generators, power meters, function generators, multi-meters, and oscilloscopes is required.

• Experience with and pneumatic and hydraulic systems are required.

• The candidate must be a competent PC user familiar with MS office and special use applications for Radar set operations.

• Possess mathematical skill necessary to perform algebraic skills necessary to solve radar equation problems.

• The successful candidate must be able to perform physical tasks that include climbing ladders and towers, work in tight spaces with limited environmental control and lifting 50 lbs. or more.

• The successful candidate will serve as team member in a team environment, working on system components, performing operation and maintenance activities with minimal supervision.

• The successful candidate complete daily radar log entries, document corrective actions and preventative maintenance activities using Maximo.

• The successful candidate will generate material service requests (MSRs) as directed

• Ensures all mission documentation and safety procedures are followed, test records are kept.

• The ability to articulate clearly to other Wallops Range entities and management, as well as off-range entities over voice nets is essential.

• The ability to work under stress associated with rigid time demands is required.

• Willingness to travel as required.
