Job Summary
With general direction, this role is responsible for leading our dynamic team of software developers. The ideal Candidate will be highly skilled and motivated, have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving innovation in software development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of internal software developers and contractors, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
Provide technical direction and support to the development team, including code reviews, design discussions, and troubleshooting.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, team Manager and Director as well as product owners, QA, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions.
Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of the development process.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and drive the adoption of new tools and methodologies to improve development practices.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years' of experience in software development, with supervisory or leadership experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with Scrum agile software development methodology
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, REACT, or JavaScript.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
Analysis and design of object-oriented solutions.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.
Experience with software and application design and architecture
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's degree is a plus.
Proficiency with .NET Core, REST API, JSX, JSON, Typescript, Javascript and CSS, Entity Framework Core (LINQ), Windows web server management, IIS and LDAP.
PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and Oracle databases.
Version control using GitHub.
Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
JIRA project management.
Experience with Python
