POSITION SUMMARY
The Practice Director is responsible for the efficient day to day administrative operations of multiple provider groups in acute care settings across the Medicine and Anesthesia Service Line. The Practice Director ensures the delivery of cost-effective, quality patient care in support of business objectives and organizational strategic goals.
The Practice Director, develops, implements, and administers operational systems that support the clinical practice, to include patient scheduling and registration, managed care, receivables management, budgetary planning, equipment and materials inventory, policy and procedure implementation, and staffing issues. The Director acts as a liaison with ancillary services, third party payers, physicians, and management to resolve customer service, patient care and financial issues.
The Practice Director will work closely with the Department Chair's and physician leaders.
The Director seeks opportunities to enhance and expand services, managed care contracting and builds strong provider and staff relationships. The Director supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team- work and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10 years of experience required as an administrative and business manager required. Preferably within an ambulatory care setting or managed care operations. Strong Budget Management/Billing Experience required. S trong communication skills required with front line staff, management and providers. Strong organizational skills required. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.
