Salary: $120,000.00 USD Annually - $150,000.00 USD Annually

Description:

Summary:


The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations. This role will require strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the food industry. The Director will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies that drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.


Operational Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of food operations, including production, quality control, logistics, and supply chain management.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and industry best practices.
  • Manage and optimize operational costs, including labor, materials, and overhead expenses.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Team Leadership:



  • Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team of operations professionals.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members to achieve their goals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the food industry.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand market share and increase revenue.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute effective go-to-market plans.

Financial Performance:




  • Develop and manage budgets for the food division.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze financial data to make informed business decisions.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in food science, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food operations management.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing food manufacturing operations.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Education Skills


  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with ERP systems and other operational software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A passion for the food industry and a commitment to quality.
