The SAP FICO Sr. Systems Architect role requires strong functional expertise in finance and related software applications. This position is in a team of functional architects that support and enhance processes and systems, primarily with SAP. The functional areas covered in this role will be finance control, capital/financial planning systems, analytic/reporting, and Tax. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently, have a significant depth of expertise and track record in finance related IT technology areas, SAP configuration experience and a solid business background. This position provides opportunities for limited domestic and international travel.
General Objective: Technical advisor of the design, implementation and maintenance of computer systems and/or programs to increase business effectiveness, solve problems and create new opportunities to assist in the achievement of business goals. Prepare business strategy material and capable of presenting to upper management. Develop and monitor policies, procedures, and standards documents. Establish and review capacity, utilization and other performance measures. Capable of participating in multiple concurrent development projects. Highly experienced subject matter expert in multiple, well-defined technical areas of high importance to the organization. Collaborates directly with all management levels and project leaders to determine system objectives and solutions. Provides updates to Change Management Team. May act as a mentor. Provides technical directions to IT staff in the performance of assigned projects. May directly supervise and be accountable for small teams of highly technical associates. Direct, schedule, motivate and coordinate small projects with IT staff, users and vendor personnel.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide analysis, counsel, and direction to both IT and business unit partners to solve business needs and provide solutions.
Provide spirited, positive technical leadership throughout the planning and implementation cycles of systems projects. Assist, direct, schedule, coordinate, and evaluate the efforts of junior IT associates, business users, and vendor personnel assigned to projects.
Develop detailed system architecture and program specifications for SAP ECC and/or related systems. Develop diagrams, program documentation and user procedures.
Assist in providing inputs for project review meetings and management presentations including design review, project scheduling, test planning, system controls, procedures, documentation, and system implementation planning.
Lead system and program implementation and enhancement activities, prepare test data, perform system and program testing.
Research systems and programs to determine causes of failure or poor operational performance; then define, test and implement detailed solutions to improve or correct.
Provide positive contributions as a team member of systems projects. Learn to develop practical systems scopes that enhance business function. Learn to provide quality within budget and schedule to meet objectives.
Provide analysis and counsel to personnel of operating units to analyze problems and develop solutions as well as ensure efficient operation of existing systems and programs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
8+ years of experience in SAP ECC implementations with primary focus on FICO.
Must have hands-on SAP FI related configuration experience. Expertise in configuring and optimizing SAP FICO modules (GL, AR, AP, AA, CO-PA, etc.).
Must have experience with integrations to/from SAP and strong working knowledge of the other primary SAP ECC modules including MM and PP.
At least three full life cycles of SAP implementations as the FI Lead. Experience in Global deployments are preferred. Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field required.

The salary range for this position is $129150 - $165000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
