Facility: Wellstar Consolidated Service Center



Job Summary:
Providing Inventory management for the Consolidated Service Center. Ensuring that inventory levels are established at optimal levels to ensure both maximum values from contracted discounts based on order efficiency and revenue and inventory levels are optimal based on supply utilization patterns. Utilizes Warehouse Management System to ensure that product inventory levels are managed to achieve targeted fill rates for orders and products are stored to ensure operational efficiency for picking and replenishment process in the most cost effective manner possible. Supports product conversion process by managing Inventory levels for stocked items undergoing conversion.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Inventory Control * Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with Warehouse Management System and System Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system * Responsible to evaluate levels of product usage to determine adequate stock management expectations. * Utilizes WMS to insure monthly stock relocations whereby space consideration for warehousing are efficient and functional. * Directs inventory control management through processes of computer generated reports utilized for inventory balancing, monthly statistical, cycle counts and discrepancy processing. * Responsible for inventory replenishment levels that ensure a fill rate to customers in excess of * Assist management in product conversions ensuring that new items are stocked and available in adequate quantity for conversion process as well as ongoing operations. Simultaneously ensuring that terminated product is issued prior to conversion to minimize expense of disposal of inactive items. * Works with Contracting and GPO to ensure that inventory items are utilizing all contracted revenue / savings opportunities. * Works with purchasing and vendors to mitigate product recalls, following standard procedures for recalled product removals from DC and hospital inventories when necessary. Customer Service * Resolves interdepartmental complaints and/or issues. * Maintains good relationships with system departments by providing inservices, management assistance and open communications. * Routinely schedules visits with customers for input on service and customer relations. Safety/Regulatory Compliance * Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. * Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols Associated responsibility/function/expectation Personnel Development * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. * Works directly with management to support internal and external projects that impact CSC Inventory levels and processes. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree Required or 10 years of experience in Inventory Management Required
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Required Minimum Experience:
    Minimum 5 years experience required or 10 years of experience required if Bachelors Degree is not complete Required and Experience must be Inventory Management within a large Distribution Center Operation. Required and Experience should include utilization of Warehouse Management Systems Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system Preferred
    Required Minimum Skills:
    Managing Processes, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information , Judgment Extensive knowledge of Inventory control principles including Velocity Management, Supply Volumetric, and Dynamic Slotting required
