Job Description:

Incumbent must be able to read and understand complicated blueprints or drawings and use a wide array of measuring devices. Incumbent must also be capable of troubleshooting. Will act as backup for layout and pack areas and train new employees as necessary. Incumbent will ensure all job quality documents are in conformance through awareness and training and act as a resource for employees needing assistance. Work in conjunction with various departments to properly prioritize work flow so that customers' orders are completed on time. Must participate in and initiate continuous improvement activities. The incumbent will be measured on the following:



  • Quality - scrap, rework or any returns associated with their area.
  • Quantity - achievement of daily target
  • Resource management - utilization of staff, ability to train and assign jobs
  • Machine Status - assuring those needed are set up and running or obtaining repair
  • Housekeeping - assuring the area is kept clean and neat
  • Workflow Management - will direct 5 or more people
  • Lean/Visual management - will be responsible for implementing lean management in their area(s) by using visual management and set up reduction initiatives.



  • Will assess and maintain tooling inventory and availability to support production requirements ordering supplies when necessary. Will compile various statistical reports to track department productivity.
