Summary:

This position provides technical assistance to clinicians and other hospital personnel on BD products and services. The representative serves as a clinical resource for customers and promotes BD's positive reputation in the community by demonstrating excellent customer service skills and being an active participant in local events.



Responsibilities:



  • Provides clinical education to customers on BD products, therapies and/or procedures

  • Assists with product evaluations or competitive product comparisons

  • Demonstrates product features and benefits to customers

  • Assists in conducting training sessions for customers and hospital staff on BD products and related procedures

  • Acts as a liaison between BD and customers to identify and resolve issues

  • Maintains detailed records of customer interactions and activity such as product demos, training, and customer complaints

  • Develops relationships with key decision makers and influencers at target accounts

  • Monitors and reports market trends and competitor activities

  • Participates in professional organizations and trade shows

  • Attends meetings and conferences






Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Experience working in an acute care setting strongly preferred

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

  • Travel required - estimated to be approximately 50%-75%
