Position Purpose As an Intern Service Technician, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the warehouse, supporting the field teams by organizing, ordering, and stocking supplies. You will gain hands-on experience with HVAC equipment through tasks such as managing inventory and ensuring service trucks are equipped with the necessary parts and tools. Additionally, you will learn how to order supplies and assist in maintaining an organized workspace to help field technicians perform their jobs efficiently. While your main focus will be on warehouse operations, you may also have opportunities to assist with basic scheduled maintenance on HVAC systems. Pay Range: $16 - $ 18 per hr. Part time and temporary, no benefits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:
Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory in the warehouse to ensure parts and tools are readily available for field technicians.
Stock service trucks with necessary supplies and equipment, ensuring that field teams are prepared for their daily tasks.
Help with ordering HVAC parts and materials, learning to manage supply levels and track orders for the warehouse.
Support warehouse operations by keeping the workspace clean and organized, making it easy to locate tools and equipment.
Occasionally assist with basic scheduled maintenance on HVAC systems under the supervision of experienced technicians.
Use a variety of hand tools and power tools at a basic level
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, technicians, dispatch, sales, and management.
Commit to adhering to safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others while performing HVAC tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
OSHA 10 Certification
Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training (PACT)
Must be mechanically inclined and possess good customer service skills.
A willingness to learn and develop your HVAC skills.
Moderate oral, written, interpersonal communication skills, as well as excellent documentation and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Own, or can obtain, personal hand tools.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel) and able to learn additional computer software.

Physical Requirements
This position includes sitting, lifting, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
This position requires climbing ladders, working in mechanical rooms, and on roofs.
This position may require lifting to 75 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
This position may require working in confined or tight spaces, such as mechanical rooms for installation and repair tasks.
