IDC, a Blackstone portfolio company and leader in data and intelligence is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Account Executive to join our Digital Tech Buyer team. This pivotal role will focus on business development and new sales for our groundbreaking AI-powered SaaS digital platform designed for IDC’s Tech Buyer business.

As a Senior Account Executive, you will report to the Director of Sales, Digital Tech buyer and you will be responsible for showcasing our product's value and capabilities to prospective clients. This role is crucial to driving the growth of a strategic corporate initiative. The role requires a high degree of sales acumen, collaboration, technical expertise, and is focused on driving new, incremental, sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve objectives and provide accurate forecasts
  • Prospect for new sales opportunities in the North American region
  • Create and follow up on proposals, responding to customer inquiries
  • Set up and conduct qualified meetings with potential clients
  • Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations to effectively communicate solution value
  • Identify, pursue, and close sales opportunities
  • Articulate product positioning and value propositions to business and technical users
  • Partner with Sales Engineers to manage Proof of Concept (PoC) projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance sales processes and develop enablement materials
  • Utilize CRM tools to track customer interactions and manage leads
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target accounts
  • Provide feedback to product teams on enhancements and market requirements
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify new opportunities
  • Develop deep understanding of AI-powered SaaS products and competitive landscape
  • Collaborate on RFP and RFI responses
  • Gather and communicate prospect feedback to product development and customer success teams
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote products and network


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field of experience in a B2B sales position
  • Minimum 3+ years of B2B sales experience in Technology
  • Demonstrated track record of success in selling SaaS products, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience explaining technical concepts to senior-level business users
  • Solid understanding of AI and SaaS technologies is preferred
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
  • Customer-oriented approach with a focus on building lasting relationships
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% as required

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $170,000and $190,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
