Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. We are seeking an Associate Project Manager for the Sutures Manufacturing Engineering Team. The hired individual will be responsible for developing and executing cross-functional projects to support Arthrex Manufacturing, Inc.'s goals, which may focus on cost reductions, insourcing, new product launches, cycle time improvements, scrap reduction, material flow optimization, or general process improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manages engineering projects to meet expected timing, cost, and quality

  • Works with all areas of AMI to generate project ideas and develop a prioritized project deck based on impact to the business

  • Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, conferring with senior management and key stakeholders

  • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculates time requirements, identifying and sequencing project elements and discreet tasks

  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving obstacles

  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, requesting and allocating resources as necessary

  • Coordinates with interdepartmental managers for the availability, assignment, and accountability of downstream resources and technology

  • Communicates project/program status to management and key stakeholders against metrics and constraints

Knowledge:


  • Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. Limited knowledge of industry practices and standards.

  • Reasoning Ability, Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.

  • Discretion / Latitude: Work is closely supervised. Follows specific, detailed instructions.

Skills:


  • Ability to effectively communicate project planning requirements, including task elucidation, duration, and resource requirements

Education:


  • BS in Engineering required.

  • Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical engineering preferred.

Experience:

  • Project Management Experience Preferred

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

  • Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
