We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team. This individual is responsible for managing plant operations in an efficient manner to meet customer expectations and earn money for our shareholders. The Operations Manager is responsible for all facets of plant operations to include safety, quality, productivity, scheduling, engineering, maintenance, HR, cost leadership and SG&A. The main objective of the position is to build, nurture, and maintain the relationship of the employees and customers using Our Philosophy as a guide. The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical, problem-solver with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure that daily plant operations are running effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Maintains and manages the facility with a safety-first focus and in a cost-effective manner.
Maintains cultural health on the production floor by leading with Our Philosophy.
Coach, mentor and develop staff to achieve performance standards focusing on succession planning and bench strength readiness. Includes visibility and leadership presence on all shifts in the facility. This may require evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
Manages the plant to ensure on time delivery to customer by ensuring production plans & staffing levels meet customer demand.
Establish and manage key performance indicators and costs. Anticipates and corrects trends which would compromise achievement of financial targets.
Manages and improves the quality of the product.
Manages Engineering and Maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and uptime and critical projects are completed on time and within budget.
Manages inventory accuracy.
Involved in special projects as needed.
Assists in developing and executing financial plans.
Active participant in sales and operations planning.
Communicates with senior leaders within strategic business unit.
Other duties as assigned.
