Summary:


The Electrical Engineer Intern will gain hands-on experience in a production facility. This internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application, applying school concepts in a practical environment. As an engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of engineering within a production facility. One key aspect of his role involves exposure to PLC programming and understanding its crucial role in the operation of production equipment. You will also learn how to create comprehensive documentation that is vital for the functioning of production operations. Understanding how to use and maintain this documentation will be a valuable skill that you will develop throughout this internship.


Responsibilities:



  • Provide support in resolving day-to-day production issues, performing both floor work and desk work

  • Perform troubleshooting activities using voltage meters and other instruments to diagnose and resolve equipment issues

  • Utilize AutoCAD to edit drawings to contribute to the creation and maintenance of accurate documentation

  • Assist in managing obsolescent parts by identifying replacements and ensuring timely part replacement


Requirements:



  • Must be currently enrolled in a college/ university degree granting program

  • Knowledge in Auto Cad preferred

  • Must be comfortable with hand tools and hands on wiring

  • Ability to understand and follow electrical prints

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with NEC electrical code a bonus
