Skills and Competencies:


  • Working knowledge of R and Python with proficiency in at least one. Working knowledge of SQL and different frameworks.

  • Ability and comfort to work with different data structures and to identify the right data structures for the problem at hand.

  • Knowledge of threading, multiprocessing, asyncio, high performance computing.

  • Backend web frameworks like flask, fastapi etc.

  • Demonstrate comfort with Unix based operating systems and shell scripting.

Nice to have:


  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker (or similar container based hand off-deployment solution).

  • Theoretical knowledge of computer vision and machine learning algorithms, and working knowledge of at least one library each.

Education:


  • Working towards M.S. or Ph.D in Working towards a BS or MS degree in related fields: Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Earth or Climate Sciences, Computer Sciences, Data Sciences, Software, IT or related field.

  • Ability to work during program dates: June 2nd - August 8th 2025.

Responsibilities:


  • Development of request-response data flow models in a high performance on prem computing environment.

  • Using state of the art Learning and Computer Vision techniques to identify anomalies in data sets using pre defined heuristics.

  • Leveraging modern computing toolkits to develop cross platform DAG toolchains.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly range for this position is $45 per hour depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
