Volt is immediately hiring for Electrical Engineering Support in Hanscom AFB, MA.
As an Electrical Engineering Support, you will:
Provide hardware, software, and DevSecOps/integration processes to evolve the capabilities of legacy and future aircraft through battle network connectivity, enhanced on-aircraft mission computing, and ultimately, the infrastructure for enabling real-time software updates so that platforms can rapidly adapt their flight and collaborative mission autonomy tactical behaviors as a mission's goals, environments, and threats evolve. This technology represents a key thrust in evolving the connected multi-domain battlespace.
Responsible for Requirements Definition and Analysis Management, support of Design Reviews, and risk/opportunity management as it pertains to addressing Obsolescence Engineering aspects.
Working in cooperation with several other companies, all collaboratively working towards successful developments, integrations, and demonstrations of the Elrond technology. A successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm and strong interpersonal, as well as the capacity to communicate technically across engineers with a variety of disciplines and breadth/depth of focus.
This is a Full-time 12-month contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI Clearance
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree and approximately 10 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and approximately 8 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a approximately of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Must have a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the TS/SCI level
Demonstrates empathy, curiosity, and desire to constantly improve
Showcases excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work well with others in a professional team environment
Preferred Skills:
Demonstrated systems engineering experience with aerospace systems, having performed requirements development, decomposition, and associated integration, verification, and validation processes
Background in risk/opportunity management
Background in obsolescence engineering
Demonstrates the ability to think both tactically and strategically when solving problems
Showcases excellent organizational skills and the ability to balancing priorities and schedules
Has experience working effectively in highly collaborative environments and a demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and technical efforts spanning multiple stakeholders
Education:

Pay Rate: $60-$65 per hour
