Job Description:

As the Systems Administrator , you will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by securing, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. They will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


  • Managing datacenters built on Cisco UCS, VMware, Citrix and PureStorage
  • Configuring and managing environment hardening in alignment with ISO, CMMC 2.0 and NIST including Patch and Firmware Management
  • Installing, configuring, and managing 300+ virtual and physical servers within the 2 datacenters
  • Assuring backup and recovery using traditional backups and Snapshots protecting daily up to Ransomware possibilities.
  • Designing, supporting and testing Disaster Recovery operations between primary and backup datacenters
  • Providing on-going monitoring of the environment to ensure performance, stability, and efficient operations
  • IT Tool installation, configuration, support, and monitoring and Alerting
  • Providing technical expertise for all activities associated with enterprise systems
  • Providing engineering, systems analysis, design, development, documentation, and creation of enterprise systems to ensure appropriate implementation and performance of all assigned systems and products
  • Ensuring new emerging systems are being deployed in accordance with current recommended practices
  • Making recommendations for new technology investments, keeping up with current technologies and trends
  • Conducting and coordinating tests across a variety of enterprise platforms to guarantee proper stability of systems
  • Serving as a technical point of contact for assessing and analyzing all enterprise client systems, hardware, and software issues
  • Providing the highest level of back-end support by identifying, prioritizing, and determining a solution for reported customer issues and problems
  • Assure repeatability of the system by assure using proper change control, baseline images, documentation and proactive highlighting of risks and opportunities
  • Collaboration with Helpdesk and Applications teams. Backup for Exchange and Network Administrators as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks/projects under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts in disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and contribute to a team-oriented workgroup.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:


  • Subject matter expert with virtualization technologies specifically VMWare ESXi and Citrix XenApp with both engineering and administrative experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Infrastructure technologies including: Active Directory 2003/2008/2012/2016/2019, Group Policy Objects, DHCP, DNS, and certificates.
  • Basic Red Hat Linux build and support knowledge
  • Ability to fully document a system including Storage/Server/VMWare conceptual and rack diagrams.
  • Extensive knowledge of Enterprise SAN Support including RAID, iSCSI, CIFS, NFS, SATA, SAS, and fiber channel on PureStorage FlashArrays
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with enterprise backup and recovery solutions using Veeam and PureStorage snapshots
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with storage encryption and security best practices
  • Expert knowledge on Multifactor Authentication using solutions such as Fortinet
  • Expert knowledge with web proxy and filtering solutions such as McAfee Web gateway.
  • Expert knowledge of IT and Security tools such as Rapid7, ForeScout, ADManage, Password Manager, Cisco Secure, Cisco Umbrella, Cyberark/idaptive, Netwrix, KACE
  • Full knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Assist in preparation of all security pre-audits and then evidence production for security audits.
  • Daily tuning of systems to get proper logging and alerting to guide future architecture and sizing.
  • Recognize and identify potential areas where existing office automation system policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
